HERMES
Project Description
Even though accidents occur on major events from time to time, these events get more and more popular. The aim of this research project financed by the BMBF is, to improve the visitor's safety. An evacuation assistant shall be developed, that helps the decision-makers by predicting bottle-necks in emergency situations or finds alternative routes, if an escape route is blocked. Dangerous situations can be identified before the event starts.
The simulation is connected to the safety and security management system and to the metering of people by means of automated image processing. That means it is always adjusted to the current situation.
